COVID-19 updates for Tuesday, Jan. 4

As of late last week (Dec. 30), Beltrami County was monitoring 156 active cases of COVID-19, with seven county residents hospitalized for COVID-19.

Over a 14-day period, 222 new cases were reported in the county.

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 16 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County Monday, with data stemming also from late last week due to the holiday reporting lag.

MDH also reported eight new COVID cases in Cass County Monday, and one new case for both Hubbard and Clearwater counties.

Tuesday’s report from MDH includes test information gathered from Friday, Dec. 31 through Monday, Jan. 3.

MDH reported 16,204 cases across the state and 36 deaths.

Of those cases, 85 were in Beltrami County, 15 were in Cass County, eight were in Clearwater County and 15 were in Hubbard County.
