Deputy injured, not seriously, in crash while responding to emergency call

A Beltrami County deputy was injured in a crash responding to an emergency call late Saturday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 28-year-old Devin Murphy of Walker was southbound on Highway 71 when he collided with the Beltrami County squad car around 11:30 p.m.

Lavonte Hardie was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Sanford Bemidji.

Murphy was not injured.

Bemidji EMS and the Bemidji Police Department assisted at the scene.
