Annual Spring Garden Workshop

March 14, 2020 @ March 14, 2020 1:00 pm - March 14, 2020 4:00 pm

Shevlin Garden Club and Bagley Community Ed are happy to host the 2nd annual Spring Garden Workshop this coming March 14 from 1-4 p.m. at the Bagley High School, Room 100.
Back by popular demand, Connie Nunemaker from Shevlin will offer a presentation on “Free Gardening – How to multiply plants and get them started from seeds.” Connie has years of experience in dividing plants, raising perennials from seed and increasing the number and types of plants in her yard that attract many different pollinators including honeybees, bumblebees, native bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. She will share best techniques you can use to increase the number of flowers and plants in your yard with very little or no cost.
Another teacher, Tyrone Moen of Blackduck, will present on bees. Tyrone has been keeping bees for several years and will share his knowledge of the lifecycle of honeybees, how to maintain the colonies, keep hives healthy, and encourage beer and other pollinators in your area. He collects honey and has been working to expand his use of beeswax and honey in other products. He will share his experience as a beekeeper, with time for questions and answers.
New this year is a Kid’s Korner with make & take gardening projects.

Refreshments provided by the Shevlin Garden Club, and various vendors will offer gardening wares for your shopping pleasure.

Pre-register $10 with Bagley Community Ed at 218-694-3232 or $15 at door. Kids 12 and under enter free.
