The 34th season of the Summer Recital Series presented by the Bemidji Area Church Musicians will continue on Wednesday, July 28, 12:00 noon at United Methodist Church, 9th and Beltrami Ave. This recital will feature Glenn Seibel, euphonium, and Wayne Hoff, piano. The program will include a group of Mancini tunes, a couple of spirituals, a hymn, easy listening, and a Herbert L. Clarke contest-type solo. The church has acquired two new instruments which will be showcased to the public for the first time since the reopening of the church after the pandemic restrictions. These are a Yamaha Transcoustic grand piano which has electronic sounds as well as traditional piano function, and a superb Klavinova electronic keyboard.
The church has newly installed air conditioning and the sanctuary has been redesigned since the last recital two years ago. The public is invited to attend this fine recital in person and to remain for the luncheon to follow. A free-will offering will be received at the door. The luncheon will have a price announced.
Those who do not feel comfortable in public gatherings may access this recital by going to the BACM Facebook page: BACMusicians or YouTube channel: BemidjiACM. Donations are invited, and both locations will have a way to contribute online to BACM. Donations can also be made by sending a check to BACM, 701 31st St NW Bemidji, MN. Thank you to all who have donated to support the programs of scholarships for freshman college students in music study, Fellowships for BSU students to serve in Bemidji churches, and scholarships for young organ students.
