Migratory Bird Day will be celebrated this Saturday as part of the Bird & Butterfly Festival at the Watermark Art Center.
The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with Jennifer Thieme scheduled as the featured speaker.
Thieme is a researcher with the Monarch Joint Venture and will deliver a live virtual presentation about the status of the Monarch butterfly.
Mayor Jorge Prince is also expected to speak, as is Allison Barta with a butterfly report and Paul Conklin with a presentation on light pollution.
The festival will include a number of family-friendly activities, as well.
