The first in-person recital of the 34th season of the Summer Recital Series presented by the Bemidji Area Church Musicians will be performed on Wednesday, June 30, 12:00 noon. This recital will feature Ryan Webber, trombone, and Dan Will, piano, at the Evangelical Free Church, 115 Carr Lake Rd SW.
Webber and his wife, Dr. Miriam Webber, moved to Bemidji in 2016 and he has been active in the Bemidji music scene since then. As an adjunct faculty at Bemidji State University, Webber teaches low brass instruments, directs the Symphonic Band and Pep Band. He also directs the Heartland Symphony based out of Little Falls and Brainerd. He serves as guest conductor of the Bemidji Area Concert Band and is a pit orchestra director for Northern Light Opera Company in Park Rapids.
The accompanist for this fine recital is Dan Will. Dan is a staff accompanist and performance coach at BSU. He also teaches at Headwaters and has been the music director for Paul Bunyan Playhouse in past years.
The public is invited to attend this recital in person and to remain for the luncheon to follow. A free-will offering will be received at the door. The luncheon will have a price announced.
