The 17th Annual “It’s Only Clay” (IOC) National Competition and Exhibition opens at Watermark Art Center on November 4 with a reception from 5 to 7pm including artist talk and awards at 6pm. IOC is juried exhibit of functional ceramics from around the US featuring the work by 2022 Juror, Delores Fortuna.
From the artists’ whimsical and unconventional works to elegant and sophisticated, Fortuna’s selections represent a wide range of styles and use of material.
This event is free and open to the public. The exhibit opens November 4 in Watermark Art Center’s Kaul Gallery and runs through December 23.
IOC is a collaboration between Watermark Art Center and Bemidji State University Department of Technology Art and Design. IOC is underwritten by Watermark’s business partner First National Bank Bemidji. Additionally, this activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
