The Mask and Rose Theater is accepting applications for two $1,000 scholarships to support two up-and-coming female
musical artists. Applicants will attend an interview and audition to be selected and to be featured at the Sister Song Celebration
Concert with regional established female musical artists on Saturday, June 11th at the Wild Rose Theater in Puposky.

Women have had an increasing presence in the music industry over the last few decades, but still are not sufficiently represented in many areas.
Today, women only make up 21.7 percent of artists, 12.3 percent of songwriters, and 2.1 percent of producers.
As one part of supporting women in music, the Mask and Rose Women’s Theater Collective and Sister Song Celebration Music Scholarship will support women who are passionate about playing/creating music and would like to apply for one of two $1,000 scholarships to support their advancement in their musical life. The scholarship could support music lessons, a recording session, or website development as some examples.
