Headwaters Music and Arts is offering a one-week Musical Theater day camp July 18-22.
The camp is for young people age 8-15 who would like to gain the skills and confidence to take part in community theater or simply get creative with friends.
Directed by Kari Ekhoff and Assistant Director Renae Spangler, this camp prepares participants to take part in community theater or school productions by exposing them to the entire process of musical theater, including character development, set construction, and working off-script for a final public performance. The day camp has built-in breaks for lunch, games, art activities and team-building challenges.
This year’s featured script will be Strange Happenings at the Palace, a fractured fairy tale written by Kathy Boecher.
Cost for the camp is $150, hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the fee includes a $40 non-refundable deposit.
