Sanford Health will be celebrating its 10th anniversary AirMed on July 12.
The community is invited to the celebration at the Sanford Bemidji Medical Center from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sanford AirMed, over the last 10 years, flew a total of 8,000 flights, equating to over 1.2 million miles.
The service treats thousands of patients each year by providing life-saving care in a timely manner. The in-flight care team includes RNs, paramedics, respiratory therapists and other medical personnel.
“The positive impact AirMed has had on the community over the last ten years has been incredible,” said Susan Jarvis, president and CEO of Sanford Health in Bemidji. “AirMed has saved countless lives, providing quick and safe transport at the highest level of care.”
The event on Tuesday, July 12, will include ice cream and guided tours of the helicopter, with attendees able to register to win a ride in the AirMed Helicopter.
