Federal disaster assistance approved for northern Minnesota’s severe weather and flooding

President Biden approved the disaster declaration for Minnesota.

Counties receiving assistance from FEMA include Beltrami, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Koochiching, Lake of the Woods and 10 others.

The Red Lake and White Earth Nations, the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa will also receive direct federal assistance.

Federal disaster assistance is available to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in areas affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding from April 22 through June 15.
