Former Sanford Center executive makes court appearance

The former executive director of the Sanford Center made his first appearance in court Monday.

Forty-eight-year-old Curtis Webb faces a theft by swindle charge for allegedly making false expense reports during his time here in Bemidji.

Webb was recently sentenced to 100 hours of community service, two years of probation and pay required fees and restitution for a similar crime in Bloomington, Illinois, where he was the director of the then-named U.S. Cellular Coliseum.

Webb left the Sanford Center to work at the Coliseum from June 2016 until he was fired in October of the same year.
