Geese Ditched for Meat

By: News Intern Katherine Jones

NORTH DAKOTA- The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources reports that somebody removed the breast meat from more than a dozen geese, then tossed their carcasses in a ditch near the North Dakota state line. Canada goose hunting season started in Minnesota on Sunday.

The DNR says the dumpsite still has a stench, even though most of the carcasses have been removed. Such action isn’t illegal, but it is still considered littering.
