Gov. Tim Walz expected to loosen dining restrictions

As COVID-19 numbers trend downward, Governor Tim Walz plans a state address tomorrow afternoon to announce a loosening of restrictions on indoor dining and other settings.

The address is anticipated tomorrow at 2 p.m., and will be streamed on the Governor’s YouTube channel.

The address comes after a handful of Minnesota restaurants face cease and desist orders, suspended licenses and fines for defying the restrictions.

The current restrictions are set to expire on Jan. 10.
