Homicide suspects in custody after a stabbing early Saturday morning

Suspects are in custody after a homicide in Bemidji early Saturday morning.

Bemidji Police Chief Mike Mastin says officers responded to the 1800 block of Minnesota Ct. NW around 3 a.m. Saturday on the report of an assault in progress.

Several witnesses and a deceased male were located on the scene.

The male had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Headwaters SWAT team was used to serve a warrant on a residence the witnesses believed suspects fled to after the assault.

Multiple suspects were identified and they remain in custody, with their identities to be released once the investigation is complete.

The Minnesota BCA, Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office and Bemidji Fire Department assisted at the scene.
