Hubbard County Blotter: 10/24 through 10/27

The following is a summary of incidents from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office from Thursday, Oct. 24 through Sunday, Oct. 27.

Thursday, Oct. 24

Animal Complaint, 7:43 a.m.

Neighbors horses are in caller’s pasture, ongoing issue on 257th Avenue.

Theft, 2:12 p.m.

Male party reports that the lock was cut off the payment box and he found the payment envelopes laying around on Jewel Drive in Park Rapids.

Officer Assist, 3:38 p.m.

Girlfriend is being “disruptive” concerned that she is going to break things. She is packing up her stuff and leaving. Caller is not exactly sure what is going on (Hubbard Co. Rd. 9 in Bemidji).

Domestic, 9:29 p.m.

Third party report f domestic abuse. States male party hit female but he is passed out drunk now.

Officer Assist, 9:49 p.m.

Male party called 911. Undetermined reason. Caller seemed confused and was calling from a group home.

Friday, Oct. 25

Mailbox Damage, 6:55 a.m.

Caller states there are skid marks from a vehicle going off the road that destroyed a mailbox, caller states that the ditch is very steep and he is concerned a vehicle may be in the bottom of the ditch.

Mailbox Damage, 8:51 a.m.

Caller reports that someone hit his mailbox last night on U.S. 71. Nothing but pieces in the ditch left.

Accident, 10:10 a.m.

Gray sedan vs. UPS truck, UPS truck rolled over after going into the ditch, air bags are deployed on the sedan, unknown extent of injuries- caller is a passerby (Park Rapids).

Saturday, oct. 26

Officer Assist, 2:47 a.m.

Reporting party reporting her mother’s silver Toyota Sienna van was stolen and is supposedly broke down.

Trespassing, 11:10 a.m. 

Ongoing issues with neighbors trespassing on caller’s property on Far Portage Drive.

Theft, 3:24 p.m.

Pontoon was stolen in the past two weeks on Beach Haven Road.

Burglary, 3:55 p.m.

Caller states an unknown party entered her residence last night on Arbor Road.

Fire, 6:47 p.m.

Large fire of brush, nobody around in the woods, no active burning permits for Island Air Drive.

Suspicious, 11:25 p.m.

Reporting party states a vehicle pulled into their lot on Eagle Bend Road as a worker was leaving. Employee went outside and could hear someone walking around. Vehicle has since left. Request a check of the area.

Sunday, Oct. 27

Threats, 5:34 p.m.

Parties driving around party and trying to cause problems earlier today. No longer taking place.

Motorist Assist, 6:06 p.m.

Reporting party advised he has ran out of gas and needs a ride to the ER….. he is a physician.

Deer Call, 6:58 p.m.

Reporting party advised of a car killed deer. Someone took the antlers, left the meat.

Driving Complaint, 7:42 p.m.

No taillights and swerving over the road. Northbound. Sticker that say “Go Fox Yourself and Blow Me” Black/Gray Diesel.
