Icy Clearwater County crash injures one

A Rice man was injured in an apparent icy road-related crash in Clearwater County yesterday.

According to a report from the state patrol, 49-year-old Kevin Gapinski was driving a Chevy Suburban when he slid through the intersection of Highway 200 and 281st Avenue at a stop sign, striking a Chevy Silverado, with both vehicles ending up in the ditch.

Gapinski was treated for his non-life threatening injuries at a Clearwater Hospital. No one else was injured, and alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
