Investigation continues for teenager listed as a runaway nearly two months ago

The Bemidji Police Department is still looking for a missing teenage girl.

According to a release, 15-year-old Nevaeh Leigh Kingbird was reported as a runaway nearly two months ago and has not been in contact with friends or family since.

Kingbird was last seen leaving a party in the Carter Circle neighborhood around 1 a.m. Oct. 22, and was seen leaving another residence alone an hour later in the Southview Terrace Park area.

Kingbird is a 5’4” Native American girl with a light complexion and a slender build. She was last seen wearing jeans and athletic slide shoes. She has long dark hair with highlights, a scar near her left eyebrow and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact the Bemidji Police Department or submit a tip anonymously through CrimeStoppers of Minnesota to possibly qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota BCA and the FBI are assisting with the investigation.
