The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted abduction early Tuesday morning.
Authorities arrived to the Wild Rice Loop in the Rice Lake area Tuesday around 5:30 a.m.
The victim, an 8-year-old girl, stated she was taken from inside the home and was choked by a male suspect outside.
Investigators with the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office and the White Earth Tribal Police Department initially did not apprehend the suspect once identified, but in an updated release, the juvenile was ultimately taken into custody.
The case remains under investigation.
