Juveniles arrested after pursuit in stolen ambulance

RED LAKE–Two juveniles were arrested after a pursuit in a stolen ambulance over the weekend.

According to a release from the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, their 911 center was notified of a Red Lake Ambulance being stolen from the Red Lake Hospital Sunday morning around 1.

A deputy located the stolen emergency vehicle in Northern Township near the intersection of Irvine Avenue and Grange Road.

Deputies attempted to stop the stolen ambulance but the juveniles increased their speed in an attempt to allude law enforcement.

A deputy and a Bemidji Police Officer were able to deploy tire deflation devices, with the ambulance disabled north of U.S. 71 on Irvine Avenue.

No other information will be provided by the sheriff’s office.
