The Leech Lake Tribal College is reminding students that any past due debts or amounts owed by students for unpaid tuition or other costs as of Dec. 31 will be forgiven.
According to an announcement, the debt will be canceled on each student’s record.
LLTC says the debts forgiven are not taxable nor can they be counted as income for government financial assistance programs.
This debt forgiveness project is made possible through COVID emergency relief appropriations.
