Local theater artist awarded national fellowship

Local theater director and artistic director of the Mask & Rose Women’s Theater in Puposky Cate Belleveau was recently awarded a fellowship to attend a national conference later this month.

According to a release, the National Women’s Theater Festival and Conference in Raleigh, North Carolina, offers programming for theater artists of all disciplines, such as playwrights, performers, producers, directors, academics and administrators.

The Mask & Rose Theater is a grassroots organization founded in 2006 that would showcase female playwrights, directors and designers, with a secondary goal to serve youth by offering theater skill development.
