Motorcyclist killed in downtown Bemidji crash Friday

A Bemidji man was killed in a motorcycle crash Friday evening.

The Bemidji Police Department says numerous agencies responded to Bemidji Avenue and 2nd Street around 7:30 p.m. after a motorcycle struck the side of a pickup truck in the intersection at an alleged high rate of speed.

The motorcycle rider, 25-year-old Shaye Terrill-Yaklich, died at the scene.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, Bemidji Ambulance and Bemidji Fire assisted at the scene.
