New Hackensack brewery to open in 2020

A new craft brewery is expected to open in Hackensack this summer.

According to a release, Rendezvous Brewing will be centrally located in Hackensack, just across the street from the Paul Bunyan Trail and Lucette’s statue.

Longtime Hackensack residents and brewery owners Sue and Doug Toth recently unveiled the name of their business, which has a historical value in Hackensack, as Sue’s grandparents operated the Rendezvous Restaurant in the early 1950s.

The name Rendezvous reflects the kind of business we want to create. A place to meet, gather and enjoy each other’s company, while enjoying local craft beer”, said owner Sue Toth.

“We want to create a place for young and old to get together and have fun. We want to encourage people to come to the brewery for a good time, just like Hackensack residents used to at the original Rendezvous.”

In August, the Hackensack City Council voted unanimously to approve the brewery’s license.

Construction is anticipated to begin soon, and, according to a release, Rendezvous Brewing is on Facebook and Twitter.
