Northern Dental Access announces acquisition of Bagley clinic

Northern Dental Access announced the acquisition of the Bagley Dental Clinic.

According to a release, the Northern Dental Access Center serves as a nonprofit safety net dental provider and the acquisition will help its mission to expand access to dental care for low-income and underserved people in Northwest Minnesota.

Northern Dental Access has operated in Bemidji since 2009 with over 27,000 appointments a year. A satellite clinic in Halstad was added to their network in 2018 which has increased to another 4,000 appointments a year.

The addition of the Bagley Dental Clinic will allow capacity for another 7,000 appointments a year for people enrolled in Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care, or those who require sliding fee cash arrangements based on income.

“We’re very excited to increase access to dental care for people in and around Clearwater County,” says Executive Director Jeanne Edevold Larson. “Our work will also secure and add good jobs and increase traffic to the community, and provide a positive economic impact to the region.”
