Over 150 businesses plan to open early in defiance of executive orders

The Reopen Minnesota Coalition has released the names of establishments that are planning to be open early, in defiance of executive orders.

According to their Facebook page, over 150 businesses have signed on.

Gov. Tim Walz is expected to make an announcement today on whether he will extend the four-week pause on in-person dining, fitness centers and youth sports, which are set to expire Friday. The announcement will stream live on YouTube at about 1:15 p.m.

Restaurants and bars in the listening area named to this list include Spike’s in Park Rapids and the Anchorage Inn in Longville.

In an update released this morning, more area businesses have anonymously reported they will also open early. This list includes a fitness center in Beltrami County, two more establishments in Cass County, a restaurant in Clearwater County, and two more establishments in Hubbard County.
