Park Rapids man facing charges for psilocybin mushroom grow operation

A Park Rapids man is facing second-degree drug charges for growing and possessing psilocybin mushrooms in his apartment.

The criminal complaint from Hubbard County accuses 40-year-old Cole Bush of growing the mushrooms in a plastic tub near a bed.

Bush is on probation and a search of the residence in September also found two ounces of mushrooms and around 8 grams of methamphetamine.

Bush was then taken into custody from his workplace and reportedly had a small rubber puck containing suspected methamphetamine and a smoking device on his person.

A confidential informant tipped off law enforcement officials about the psilocybin mushroom grow operation.

Bush will make his next court appearance in February and posted a $15,000 bond.
