Paul Bunyan Broadcasting’s Lucas named Speech Coach of the Year

Paul Bunyan Broadcasting’s own Tom Lucas was voted Section 8AA Speech Coach of the Year.

The vote was among coaches within the Minnesota State Coaches Association. Coach Lucas has been skillfully guiding Lumberjack speakers as Bemidji’s head coach since 2006, and has been involved with speech since he competed himself as a student, when he was State Champion in 1981.

Troy Hendricks, Bemidji High School’s Activities Director, said,“Tom is a very passionate coach, who always looks out for the kids’ best interests. He loves the program and all that it represents. We are very fortunate to have Tom on our team at BHS!”
