Red Lake man sentenced to four years in prison for firearms offense

A Red Lake man was sentenced to four years in prison for a firearms offense.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, officers responded to a 911 call from a Red Lake home late September 2019 and found 36-year-old Keith Lussier, Jr., in possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

The release says Lussier initially refused to surrender the weapon but ultimately laid it down and was then taken into custody.

Lussier pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered firearm last November.

After his prison sentence, he will spend three years on supervised release.
