Remer boy killed in crash

A 17-year-old Remer boy was killed in a crash early Sunday morning.

According to the state patrol, the teen was heading west on Highway 200 around one in the morning when he overcorrected on a slight curve and went off the road.

The report says the 2003 Buick Century struck a road approach and went airborne before landing on its side and rolling.

The teenager, identified as Ronald Day, was not belted and was ejected.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Roads were wet at the time, and the Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
