Sanford Bemidji opens up vaccine eligibility to anyone 16 and older

Sanford Bemidji is no offering COVID-19 vaccines to anyone 16 years old and older.

Vaccinations will only be administered with an appointment.

Those eligible can call (877)701-0779 to schedule their vaccine appointment, or request through MySanford Chart.

Being a previous Sanford patient is not a requirement to receive a vaccine at Sanford Bemidji.

Those without a MySanford Chart accounts can complete the vaccine request form at sanfordhealth.org.

There is no out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine recipients for the appointment or the vaccine, and no vaccine brand preferences will be accepted.

Those 16-17 will receive the Pfizer vaccine, as the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna are not approved for use on patients under the age of 18.

Patients are observed on-site for 15 minutes after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

The most common side effects are injection site pain, soreness and swelling.
