Sanford Health to close Bemidji drive-up COVID testing site

The Sanford Bemidji Drive-up COVID-19 testing site on Minnkota Ave. will close this Monday, March 7.

According to a release, a steady decline in local requests for testing, as well as improved access to COVID-19 testing elsewhere in the community and availability of at-home tests led to this decision.

Patients can still contact their Sanford providers to assess whether they should get tested for COVID-19 or require additional care with a provider on My Sanford Chart.

If a patient would like to get a COVID-19 test and does not need to be assessed by a provider, there are many local COVID-19 testing locations available on the Minnesota government’s website: https://mn.gov/covid19/get-tested/testing-locations/index.jsp.

The state is also offering free at-home testing. Information about at-home testing is available on the Minnesota Department of Health’s website: https://www.health.state.mn.us/diseases/coronavirus/testsites/athome.html.
