Carol Olson and Dean Beattie were celebrated at a send-off event at the Tourist Information Center.
Ashley Johnson, Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce President, thanked both of them for their years of service and helpfulness.
Carol gave a brief speech thanking everyone for coming, even though she generally doesn’t like such large gatherings.
Carol and Dean were presented with numerous awards and gifts during the send-off celebration, and Carol was even awarded the key to the city by Mayor of Bemidji Rita Albrecht.
