Seven were charged Friday after a human trafficking sting in Itasca County.
According to a release from County Attorney Matti Adam, agents with the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension task force led a three-day operation last week, with investigators arresting suspects as they arrived at an arranged meeting place.
“The charges arising from the three-day operation show that there is demand to sexually exploit young people in northern Minnesota,” said Adam.
The seven suspects are Chad Dockendorf of Grand Rapids; Matthew Hall of Mount Pleasant, Texas; Derek Jokinen of Sawyer; Bruce Jones of Goodridge; Rusty Marek of Grand Rapids; Saihou Sissoho of Chisholm; and Michael West of Rolla, Missouri.
