Situation Update for Monday, Oct. 5

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 982 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, and three new COVID deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 104,799 and a death toll of 2,083.

Of those deaths, 1,487 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 10,901 were health care workers.

Over 2.169 million COVID tests have been completed so far, with around 23,000 completed Sunday, Oct. 4.

MDH reported two new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, bringing the total to 552 cases with five deaths; six new cases in Cass County, total of 219 with four deaths; seven new cases in Hubbard County, total of 169 with one death; 19 new cases in Itasca County, total of 450 with 16 deaths; one new case in Lake of the Woods County, total of 27 with one death; four new cases in Mahnomen County, total of 59 cases and one death; and two new cases in Roseau County, total of 144 cases.
