Situation Update for Thursday, Dec. 3

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 6,166 new COVID-19 infections today, bringing the state’s case total to 333,626.

Ninety-two new COVID-19 deaths were also reported, a new single-day record, bringing the death toll to 3,784.

Forty-eight of today’s deaths were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all deaths, 2,522 were residents of these facilities.

Of all cases, 24,217 were health care workers.

Over 4.379 million COVID-19 tests have been completed so far, with over 2.576 million people tested. Yesterday, over 50,000 tests were completed.

To date, 290,019 COVID-19 patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported one new death in Cass County today, a resident in their early 80s, one new death in Clearwater County, a resident in their early 90s, and one new death in Hubbard County, a resident in their late 70s.

Thirty-two new COVID-19 cases were reported in Beltrami County today, for a total of 2,307; 36 new cases in Cass County, for a total of 1,535; 14 new cases in Clearwater County, for a total of 554; and 20 new cases in Hubbard County, for a total of 1,197.
