Situation Update for Tuesday, March 16

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 716 new COVID-19 cases today and two newly reported COVID deaths, bringing the state’s case count to 498,926 and the death toll to 6,749.

Today’s data comes after around 11,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.5 million people have been tested for COVID-19, with nearly 7.8 million tests completed.

Nearly 484,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need isolation.

MDH reported 13 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, two new cases in Cass County and two new cases in Clearwater County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,438 cases and 54 deaths, Cass County has had 2,256 cases and 26 deaths, Clearwater County has had 729 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,618 cases and 41 deaths.
