Situation Update for Tuesday, Nov. 24

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 6,423 new COVID-19 cases today, with 6,099 new confirmed and 324 new probable cases. The state’s total case count is at 282,916, with 277,654 confirmed and 5,262 probable cases.

Thirty-eight new COVID-19 deaths were reported today, bringing the state’s death toll to 3,303.

Of those deaths, 2,244 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 21,078 were health care workers.

Over 3.891 million COVID-19 tests have been completed, with 3.809 million PCR and 81,000 antigen tests. Yesterday, 53,000 PCR and 545 antigen tests were completed.

To date, 233,847 COVID patients across the state no longer need to be isolated.

MDH reported 60 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, bringing the county’s total to 1,884 confirmed, 20 probable cases and 15 deaths; 40 new confirmed and two new probable cases in Cass County, for a total of 1,228 confirmed, eight probable cases and eight deaths; eight new cases in Clearwater County, for a total of 438 confirmed, seven probable cases and six deaths; and 26 new cases in Hubbard County, for a total of 990 confirmed, 10 probable cases and22 deaths.

Fourteen new cases reported in Itasca County, for a total of 1,702 confirmed, three probable cases and 24 deaths; 17 new confirmed and one new probable case in Koochiching County for a total of 344 confirmed, three probable cases and five deaths; two new cases in Lake of the Woods County, for a total of 84 confirmed, five probable cases and one death; six new cases in Mahnomen County, for a total of 254 confirmed, one probable case and four deaths; and 21 new confirmed and one new probable case in Roseau County, for a total of 915 confirmed, 99 probable cases and three deaths.
