Situation Update for Wednesday, Feb. 17

The Minnesota Department of Health is reporting 783 new COVID-19 cases and 10 new deaths, bringing the state’s case total to 475,379 and the death toll to 6,390.

Of all deaths, 4,019 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of all cases, 37,307 were health care workers.

Today’s data comes after 22,000 tests were completed yesterday. Over 3.378 million Minnesotans have been tested, with over 7 million tests completed.

Over 462,000 of the state’s COVID patients no longer need to be isolated.

MDH reported 14 new COVID-19 cases in Beltrami County today, six new cases in Cass County, one new case in Clearwater County, and two new cases in Hubbard County.

Since the pandemic began, Beltrami County has had 3,313 cases and 48 deaths, Cass County has had 2,154 cases and 24 deaths, Clearwater County has had 703 cases and 14 deaths, and Hubbard County has had 1,589 cases and 39 deaths.
