An unoccupied structure near the 15th Street water tower was totally destroyed in a fire Saturday.

The Bemidji Fire Department says sixteen firefighters arrived at the 1100 block of 12th Street around 11 that morning and were on the scene for about two hours.

Due to the condition of the structure, the department used a “defensive mode” or an exterior attack.

The fire at this time is considered an accident.

Bemidji Police and Bemidji Ambulance assisted at the scene.
