Suspect in pursuit injured after crash near Cass Lake

The suspect in a pursuit yesterday may have been seriously injured after a crash on Highway 371 near Cass Lake.

The Leech Lake Tribal Police Department says an officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled south on 371.

Stop sticks were deployed near the Steamboat Loop intersection.

The fleeing vehicle came to a rest in a ditch near that intersection.

The driver was transported to a medical facility via North Memorial Air Care for possible life-threatening injuries.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
