Two arrested after a shoplifting, firearm incident in Park Rapids

The Park Rapids Police Department says two suspects were arrested after a shoplifting incident involving a gun at L&M Fleet yesterday afternoon.

According to a release, officers responded to a report of a male who had shoplifted and displayed a gun as he fled from the premises.

After receiving a description of the vehicle, officers were able to apprehend the two suspects, one man and one woman.

The pair are being held in the Hubbard County Jail awaiting various charges.

The Hubbard, Cass and Wadena County Sheriff’s Offices, Minnesota State Patrol, Akeley Police Department and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force also responded to the scene.
