Two arrested after drug bust in Backus

Two people were arrested after a drug bust in the Backus area.

According to a release from Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch, the bust last Wednesday was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Several items of paraphernalia, drug sales equipment and ammunition were seized from the home, as were approximately 10 grams of meth and 21 doses of clonazepam.

Formal charges are pending for 69-year-old Deb Maus and 32-year-old Jason Dailey, both of Backus.

Sheriff Burch says many of these investigations start with an anonymous tip.
