Two arrested in Red Lake drug bust

RED LAKE– Red Lake Tribal Officers arrested two and seized almost 100 grams of high grade methamphetamine after executing a search warrant in Redby yesterday.

According to a release, the bust was at a rural Redby residence, and the street value of the drugs seized is approximately $8,500 to $10,000. Officers also located a small infant, and seized cash and scales related to illegal drug sales.

Charges pending for 57-year-old Barbara Thunder and 25-year-old Zach Head include unlawful possession of a controlled substance, child endangerment and disorderly house.

The charges are pending in the Red Lake Tribal Court and the case is still being investigated in conjunction with the FBI’s Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force.
