Two seriously injured in motorcycle crash near Emmaville

Two were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash near Emmaville earlier this month.

The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that first responders arrived on the scene Friday, June 4, around 9 p.m. to provide aid to both of the injured riders.

Sixty-two-year-old Tim Pearson of Park Rapids was southbound on County 4 on a Kawasaki motorcycle when a deer ran into the road.

Pearson was unable to avoid the animal and they collided, tipping the motorcycle.

Both Pearson and his passenger, 51-year-old Susan Bristlin of Park Rapids, were thrown from the machine and were ultimately airlifted to a Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Pearson sustained a serious head injury and Bristlin’s ribs and lung were injured.

Hubbard First Responders and North Memorial AirCare assisted at the scene.
