Two teens arraigned for conspiracy in connection to Parkhurst case

Two women were arraigned yesterday for their roles in last week’s incident that left one dead and one wounded.

According to new criminal complaints filed yesterday, 19-year-old Lauryn Elizabeth Jones and 18-year-old Deja Ilean Mattison are each accused of one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery in the first degree and one count of conspiracy to commit simple robbery.

Mattison and Jones, according to the complaint, conspired to rob 18-year-old Antonio Parkhurst and lured him to the residence on the 1100 block of Minnesota Ave. NW.

Twenty-year-old Lupe Rosillo and a 17-year-old male, identified as “J.B.”, reportedly wore masks and attempted to assault Parkhurst, who then responded by firing two shots with a 9mm handgun, one of which was fatal.

Rosillo died as a result, and the 17-year-old was treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound and released.

Parkhurst was arraigned on murder and assault charges last Friday.

Seventeen-year-old “J.B.” is still at large, according to the new complaints.
