Two treated for minor injuries after Bemidji highway crash

Two were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a crash near Highway 71 and Highway 2 Saturday morning.

The state patrol says a Chevy Suburban, driven by 41-year-old Tessa Hegna of Laporte, was eastbound on Highway 2 when she collided with a southbound Toyota Rav4 on Highway 71.

Hegna did not have any reported injuries but was seen at Sanford Bemidji. Her five passengers were not injured.

The Rav4 driver, 63-year-old Anna Louks of Bemidji was seen at Sanford for her injuries, as was her 68-year-old passenger, Kristie Chambers of Cass Lake.

The Beltrami County Sheriffs’ Office, Bemidji’s Police and Fire departments, and Sanford and Cass Lake ambulances assisted at the scene.
