A Walker man is in custody after a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian.
According to a release from Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch, deputies responded to the Orton’s Y Mart in rural Walker Wednesday afternoon and found several people providing medical care to a 60-year-old Walker man who had been run over in the parking lot.
The man was transported to the Fargo hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
Deputies quickly found the vehicle and arrested the driver, 48-year-old Merrill Cloud of Walker.
Cloud is facing numerous charges, and alcohol is believed to be a factor in this incident.
North Memorial Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care assisted at the scene.
