White Earth Reservation unofficial election results

The unofficial White Earth Tribal Council results are in.

According to a release from the band’s public relations official, Michael “Mike” LaRoque defeated Eugene “Umsy” Tibbets by about 55 votes for the secretary-treasurer position.

Henry George Fox won the District I Representative seat against Raymond Auginaush, Sr., and Eugene Sommers defeated Tara Mason for the District II seat.

Election results are expected to be officially certified this afternoon.

All three positions are four-year terms.
