Woman killed in crash with street sweeper

An 19-year-old Ada woman was killed Thursday night in a Polk County crash.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Jayden Anderson was driving a PT Cruiser in the southbound lane of Highway 75 when she crossed into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with an Isuzu Street Sweeper.

Anderson, while wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash was around 9:48 p.m. by 460th Street in Hubbard Township.

The sweeper driver, 41-year-old Eric Olsen of Wahpeton, North Dakota, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Riverview Hospital.

Olsen was not under the influence of alcohol, and it is not yet known if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
